Meditation Practice
One of the biggest challenges of yoga practice is to simply sit still and begin a meditation.
Start simple by beginning each day with 5 to 10 minutes of sitting still and observing the breath. Before you know it, you will have a daily meditation practice!
If the morning passes you by, it's never too late to just take a moment to sit in meditation. Keep in mind you are not "doing" anything in a meditation practice; you are simply getting back to your natural state. When you are still, you are fully yourself. When you aren’t remembering your past or planning your future, you will find yourself in that space of "being." This simple habit will help calm the nervous system, strengthen the immune system, sharpen the mind, and bring you back to present moment awareness. This is the space of awakening.
